Community and Practice:
Kurt maintains an active litigation practice, including exclusive first chair trial experience at all levels of the Michigan and Federal trial courts. He has argued cases before the Michigan Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals. He sits as a court appointed Case Evaluator, and has served as a private Mediator and Arbitrator in numerous matters. In addition, he spent numerous years as an adjunct faculty member of Thomas M. Cooley Law School and Davenport University, where he has taught in the areas of pre-trial skills and business law.
Kurt serves the community in a number of ways. He is a past president and board member of the Children’s Law Center, is the Chairman of the Ada Township Brownfield Redevelopment Board, and serves his church in various functions. Kurt and his wife Chris have been married since 1989, and have four children.
